The attacking midfielder joined the club from Sheffield United in February 2024 on a permanent deal until the end of the 2024/25 season. Born in Frimley, Smith came through the Bracknell Town academy setup, joining the Blades on a two-year scholarship in January 2020 after going on trial with the club.
Smith contributed massively to the under 18s winning the national title in 2022 from midfield, registering ten goals and 12 assists in 25 games, and was rewarded with a new deal as he made the step up to the under 21s. He would go on to train with the Sheffield United first team during the winter break for the 2022 World Cup, and then featured in the Blades’ pre-season friendly against Girona in July 2023.
