Formed in 2019, Cardinals in the Community (CITC) is the partner community charity of Woking Football Club – building on the excellent, award-winning work of Woking Football Club in the Community

CITC manages the new 3G Sports Hub next to its Pavilion at Woking College, oversees a wide range of community initiatives, and manages both the Senior and Youth Academy.


There are several exciting roles currently available at CITC:

Senior Academy Coach - U23s, U19s, U18s

Reporting to the Head of Academy, the successful applicant will have a minimum of a UEFA B qualification to lead the running of above age groups, managing games and delivering specifically designed sessions to match the Club’s philosophy and syllabus.

— Support the development of Academy Players
— To be innovative and creative with the coaching syllabus in line with the Academy philosophy
— Monitor players and report their progress in twice yearly meetings and twice-yearly reports
— Commit to all training sessions and U18, U19s, U23s fixtures
— To be available for all internal CPD and keep relevant FA qualifications up to date
— To demonstrate the ability to motivate players & age group coaches

The role is 16 hours weekly, Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays, and the salary £12k.

Facilities Administration Manager

Based in the Pavilion, this role involves coordinating a team of staff and volunteers in the running and development of the sports facility and pitch. The successful applicant would be energetic, practical and have good administrative skills with experience in team leadership.

This role is full time, and the salary would be between £20k and £23k depending on experience.

Full-Time Community Coach

The successful applicant will have a minimum of FA Level 2 coaching qualification to work as part of CITC’s coaching programme in schools, after schools and community programmes. We are looking for confident and proactive applicants and previous experience working in both boys and girls sports coaching would be an asset.

The salary will reflect the experience of the successful applicant.

Volunteer Facility Roles

We are looking for responsible and community minded volunteers who would be prepared to supervise the facility for occasional sessions – overseeing the Pavilion, opening, and shutting and helping with simple, routine maintenance tasks

Volunteer Gate Person

A role to supervise the gate on some Thursday evenings at Under 18 and Under 23 games for Woking Academy – based at Brookwood Sports Ground.

There is flexibility on the volunteer roles.
