As you may be aware the West Bromwich Albion friendly match tomorrow is covered by the same COVID regulations that were in force for the Hartlepool and Wealdstone matches. As in those matches the wearing of face coverings while entering and inside the Laithwaite Community Stadium is required for tomorrow’s match and I ask everyone, except those who are exempt, to observe this requirement.
Once you are static, either standing on your spot or sitting in your seat then you may remove your face covering while you continue to remain static. Once you move, whether it’s to use the facilities or to leave the ground, then you must wear a face covering. The stewards have been instructed to ask anyone not wearing a face covering while moving around the ground to put one on.
The threat of COVID hasn’t gone away and despite millions being vaccinated the number of cases locally and nationally is rising at an alarming rate. This particular variant of COVID is highly transmissible so the Club has a duty of care to its players, staff and volunteers and of course our supporters to ensure the threat of transmission is reduced as much as possible. The wearing of face coverings in public areas around the ground will help this.
If we all respect this requirement we will all be that little bit safer.
