On Saturday the Cards play their 1000th match in the fifth tier of English Football, in the process becoming just the sixth team in the history of the league to reach this landmark.
Bromley are the visitors to The Laithwaite Community Stadium for this match, and we will be marking the occasion with a bumper souvenir programme looking back on the club's time at this level.
We are also inviting back some of our former players and managers to share in the celebrations. Some of the names confirmed for the day include: Trevor Baron, Dereck Brown, Glenn Cockerill, Matt Crossley, Darran Hay, Kevin Rattray, and Lloyd Wye.
Players will also be available at the end of the game to sign copies of the souvenir edition of our programme, in the bar between 5.30pm - 6pm.
We are holding a competition on the day - In the souvenir programme we will be summarising the statistics around those players who have represented the club in the National League Premier Division and we will be asking you to try to guess how many players have donned the shirt in the first 999 or so games. The person who comes closest will win a hospitality package for 4 people for Woking’s match against Dover Athletic on Saturday 28th April. Entry forms will be available on the day or you can download one
here, and will cost £2 per entry or £5 for three entries.
Other events on the day include a Junior Cards penalty shoot out at half-time.
Make sure you bring all your friends & family down to The Laithwaite Community Stadium on Saturday for this big occasion!
