It is an offence to enter or attempt to enter a football ground while in possession of a flare, smoke bomb or firework. The sentence for these offences can be as much as three months in prison and, in many cases, fans with no previous convictions are being given prison sentences, as the courts take these offences very seriously.
The potential harm to other fans and players, the actual harm to our club’s reputation, and our recent appearance before the FA on this matter has led us to give notice that anyone found in possession of these illegal devices will be banned from the Laithwaite Community Stadium for life.
PLEASE, don’t bring flares to matches.
