A fine evening and a good playing surface made for an entertaining local derby. The visitors took the lead in the second minute after a forward was impeded inside the area. Blair coolly slotted home the resulting penalty kick. This seemed to put Woking on the back foot and they struggled to impose themselves for much of the first half. Anderson did manage to get clear on three occasions but his crosses did not find a home player. Both defences were strong and much of the game was played in the middle third of the pitch with neither side able to produce a telling pass.

Half-time: Woking 0 Aldershot Town 1

Ten minutes after the break a long shot from Aldershot cannoned back off the bar with Elstow beaten. A Woking free kick from twenty yards then cleared the Aldershot goal by a couple of yards. Woking grew stronger as the half progressed and this pressure finally paid off. The danger was not cleared down the left and when the ball was crossed substitute Smith-Joseph was on hand to slot home the equaliser. Chances came at both ends after this but neither side could find a winner.

Woking: Elstow, Gibson, Turner, Breach, Bedford, Young, Bray(Moses 55), Gill,(Bradley 65), Anderson, Carter, Placio(Smith-Joseph 55).

Cautions: Breach, Moses, Bradley
