Cards in the Community, a section of Woking FC, has entered a competition called the Community Matters Campaign 2010 which is run in association with Procter and Gamble. We are delighted to be able to announce that we have just heard that we have been shortlisted.
The finalists will be featured in the Surrey Advertiser (Elmbridge or Woking Editions) on 9th July alongside a special voting form. This is our chance to get as many people as we can to send in their votes! The group with the highest number of votes in each category will win a grant of £3,000. The second-place group will win £1,000 and the group that comes in third will win £750. There will also be one discretionary grant of £750 which the judges will award to a group who may not have had many votes but who they feel deserve to be recognised.
Please help by getting as many people to vote as possible, as the work done by Jane Spong, Chris Sexton and colleagues for Cards in the Community is greatly appreciated within the locale – and benefits WFC enormously.
