Here are some pictures, courtesy of the Surrey Advertiser, showing Margot Wells putting the players through their paces on Tuesday.
Margot trained husband Allan, who won gold and silver medals at the Moscow Olympics in 1980, currently trains England's top rugby and hockey players, and has been brought in by the club to specifically focus on the players’ speed work.
I spoke to Graham briefly about Margot’s involvement and he said: “Margot did her first session on Tuesday and the boys had enjoyed it. She is focusing on various techniques to improve the players’ speed, which is her speciality. She’s currently aiming to do one session a week with the squad and each player should, in time, benefit from her input.”
