George joined the Cards in the summer of 2021, returning to England after four years away, predominately spent playing in Scotland but also including a brief spell in the Bulgarian second tier. He began the 2020/21 season playing for Pirin Blagoevgrad, making 11 appearances, with the club going onto earn promotion to the top division at the end of the season. He finished the last campaign at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership, scoring once in eight appearances, but he was unable to prevent Killie’s relegation to the Scottish Championship.
He started his career at AFC Wimbledon, graduating from the club’s academy before making a handful of first-team appearances, including games in both League One and Two. He also had loan spells in non-league with Kingstonian, Welling United, and Maidstone United. But it was in Scotland where he first found success in men’s football, scoring 17 goals in 18 months with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, playing in Scotland’s second tier. His form earned him a move to the Premiership with Hamilton Academical, where he scored a further 8 goals in 42 games, including a memorable strike in a win over Aberdeen. He made a brief move to eastern Europe before returning to Scotland for the first half of 2021.
