Who will be Surrey?s No.1 Business ?
The hunt is on to find the football stars of Surrey?s Business community, with the launch today of the WOKING FC 2008 FIVES corporate tournament. Staged at the club?s Kingfield Stadium in Woking on Sunday April 27th the event will be managed this year, by the local firm Azzurri Sports Leisure ? the five a side specialists.
?This is a great opportunity to settle the old arguments, of which is the best business football team in the area and do so under the gaze of the crowd on the ?Cards?? pitch", said James Chiffi, Azzurri?s event sales manager. He continued: ?Even before the ink is dry on the announcement we have signed up the first contestants, but we aim to get 40 business teams on the day to make it the largest 5- a-side event to be staged in the Borough".
Azzurri announced only in the last couple of weeks that it had secured the backing of Woking FC?s owner, the media entrepreneur Chris Ingram, who has become Chairman of the company.
The business, formed in 2003 and based in Woking, has a substantial record of running successful five-a-side football tournaments. It stages five-a-side football leagues in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire and is building an expanding programme of corporate events for businesses around the UK, including tournaments for the recruitment industry, estate agents and international airports.

Prizes are being donated by Holiday Inn hotels, The Lightbox, Woking?s new gallery and museum, the H.G.Wells conference & events centre, New Victoria Theatre, Addlestone Top Golf and the Peacocks Shopping Centre.
