On behalf of everyone at the Woking Football Club, I wanted to send our best wishes to Gateshead's captain Greg Olley who was seriously injured in our match on Saturday.
I was at the game and witnessed first-hand how distraught everyone involved was. I was incredibly proud of the excellent response and quick work of all the medics and staff who came to Greg's aid, as well as the spirit in which the game was played after play was restarted. It cannot have been easy for any of the players or the coaches to continue.
I have personally reached out to Greg and offered him our wishes. The Club is currently assessing options to help Greg in his recovery, and we all hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.
