A number of Aldershot fans chose to stand on Saturday in the LGS. Despite repeated requests to sit down, in person and over the tannoy, they refused to do so. The police, in partnership with the club, decided that if we made them sit down, or removed them from the ground, the incident could have been made far worse. We did speak with individual fans and warn them.
I apologise to all fans who were affected by this. It will not happen again - we will look again at our ticket allocation procedures to ensure full segregation in future.
