Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that Luke Wilkinson has agreed to sign for the Club once his existing contract with Yeovil Town ends on 30th June.
The defender will join the Cards on a two-year deal until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Wilkinson, 31, started his career in the youth system at Bristol City in 2007, before moving onto then-Premier League Portsmouth on trial in 2009. He earned a professional contract and headed out on loan to Northampton Town and Eastleigh. He signed for League One Dagenham & Redbridge in the summer of 2010 and was loaned to Dartford in 2012, the team that chased the Cards in the Conference South title race.
2012/13 was a successful season for Luke, winning the Dagenham player of the season award in League Two. He moved to fellow League Two club Luton Town in the summer of 2014, and following 62 appearances, Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage signed the defender in 2016. He first worked with Darren Sarll at Boro and was signed by the manager at Yeovil Town in 2019.
With more than 230 EFL appearances, Luke brings a wealth of experience to the Club and marks Darren Sarll's first new signing as Woking boss.
Luke is available for player sponsorship in 2022/23. Contact mick.livesey@wokingfc.co.uk for more information.
The deal is subject to FA approval.
