Cardinals in the Community is an independent charity closely linked to Woking Football Club; ‘Woking FC in the Community’ began in 2004 and has seen huge growth and won multiple national awards as a ground breaking community initiative linked to traditional sporting values. In 2019 ‘Cardinals in the Community’ (CITC) was registered as a stand-alone charity, existing to serve the people of Woking. CITC is overseen by a committed Board of Trustees.
There is now an opportunity for a visionary leader to become the Charity’s new Chief Executive Officer. The CEO will report to the Trustees and oversee a staff team including the existing departments of Community, WFC Academy and Centre of Excellence. In addition CITC is at an exciting point as we move into our new 3G Pavilion and Community Hub at Woking College.
The successful applicant will be an inspirational team leader and have previous experience in charity leadership, ideally in a community and elite sporting context. CITC is at a point of growth so vision, energy and relevant experience are essential to take things forward. There will also be a need to introduce systems to enable the charity to be more efficient and cohesive.
The salary for the role will be £31,000 - £34,000 pa depending on age and experience and the normal place of work will be at the Woking College facility.
