A new season approaches, with upwards of 50 games to be played by Woking FC in League Cup competitions.
Tradition has it that a match report is produced for each and every one of them (under current circumstances, this may prove a challenge for some of the earlier games that are likely to be 'Behind Closed Doors'). The reports are published on the official website and in programmes - potentially online for now - for home games.
I am currently seeking additional volunteers to join the established 'pool' of reporters for the coming season.
I know that there are aspiring journalists out there - whether or not your focus is on football - or just ‘hobby writers’.
You should have at least a reasonable command of the English language in written form, understand the finer points of the game of football and – ideally but not essential – follow Woking FC with a passion. If so, please get in touch.
There is no specific commitment in terms of the minimum number of games you would be expected to report on in a season. In putting together schedules for reporting, I can accommodate both those only able to cover a 2 or 3 games a season, or those prepared to report every few weeks.
And it's not an onerous task; in any event, I'm here to help.
