Travel Issues to Eastleigh

12:07pm, Thu 30th Jan 2020
Statement from Eastleigh Football Club:

This weekend from Friday 31st January (9pm) to Monday 3rd February (6am) the M27 is shut between junctions 3 and 4 (Romsey to Southampton).

There is a 55-mile diversion in place, as a result, we expect travel in the vicinity of the Football Club to be greatly affected.

To further compound misery to the situation, there is a train derailment at Eastleigh Train Station, which is expected to be resolved by Monday (3rd February) as a result the surrounding stations have been shut.

There is a replacement bus service from Basingstoke calling at Micheldever, Winchester, Shawford and Southampton Parkway (station nearest the ground), however, with the closure of the M27, it will affect the travel times including the replacement buses.

Eastleigh Football Club suggests that fans wishing to attend the game, by either car or by public transport allow plenty of time as expected arrival times will be affected by these travel issues.
