It's White Ribbon Day, and Woking Football Club is delighted to support White Ribbon UK.

About White Ribbon

The club is supporting White Ribbon, which is a national and international campaign to end male violence against women.

The campaign is about men standing together to call out sexist or harmful behaviours that can lead to more serious forms of abuse if left unchallenged.

To wear a white ribbon is a promise never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence towards women.

Why support the campaign?

Twenty per cent of women have experienced sexual assault, and most (not all, but most) perpetrators of abuse against women are men.

Most men do not use violence, but all men can help to end it.

What you can do?

At our next two home games, you will notice campaign materials around the stadium and information in the match day programmes inviting you to make the promise - a simple online pledge that can be made in the time it takes to score a goal.

You can do it yourself at www.whiteribbon.org/promise, or there will be people at the games who can help you.

The campaign starts officially on Monday 25 November (White Ribbon Day), and runs up until Tuesday 10 December 2019 – 16 days of action to make a real difference.

The squad have all made the promise, please do the same, and wear a white ribbon to show you do not condone sexist or abusive behaviour.
