Woking Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Josh Casey from Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Josh, 26, is a left back who started his career in the academy at Aldershot Town. He played a couple of pre-season friendlies for Woking at the start of the 2010/11 season before signing for Salisbury City for two years, winning promotion to the Conference South in his first season there. He then joined Bashley in 2012, at first on loan, making the move permanent in July that year.
He signed for Dowse's Kingstonian in October 2013, finishing second in the Isthmian Premier in his first year. Josh joined Dowse at Hampton & Richmond in July 2015, winning the league and promotion to the National League South that season. Last season he made 55 appearances for Hampton in all competitions, the most of any player there.
Dowse commented: "I've signed him for three different clubs, which shows how much I rate him. I think we've just signed the best left back in the league and the best man for the job at the football club. I'm delighted to get him, he was my number one target.
I would like to place on record my thanks to the Board for backing Casey's signing and also Andy Laithwaite & John Moynihan for financially supporting the transfer."
