On 24th April Glen Hill, son of Woking manager Garry, will be running the London Marathon in aid of Woking Hospice. Glen aims to run the 26 miles in under 3 hours and has also set a fundraising target of £3000.
He is already about half way to the total and any help (and messages of support) from Woking supporters are much appreciated. Simply go to
http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/glen-hill to visit the fundraising page.
Glen, a talented athlete, has run four London marathons and also done Dublin along with many half marathons; his best time is 2 hours 49 minutes. Training is going really well with several 16 – 22 mile workouts already. Glen says that if you do the marathon properly the training is harder than the actual event when the day is fun with family and friends adding their support.
This will be the second time Glen has run in Woking FC colours for the Hospice. Last time he raised £1800 but is confident, with our help he can get well above that.
Thank you for your support
