Sam Smith signs for the Cards

Woking Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Sam Smith from Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town.

Sam started his career at Rushden & Diamonds, Garry Hill giving the striker his league debut in April 2008 against Cambridge United. He scored his first goal, aged 17, in the final match of the season against Aldershot Town. The following season he was the Diamonds’ top scorer with 8 goals.

In 2011 Sam signed for Lincoln City, scoring 7 goals in 25 games, earning himself a move to Cambridge United for an undisclosed fee in August 2012. A season-long loan move to Hereford United followed the year after, before Sam signed for AFC Telford United in 2014, scoring 7 goals in 34 appearances for the Bucks.

He joined Brackley Town on loan at the start of this season, before making the move permanent.
