Yesterday saw the Development and Community Team get the chance to coach with England Manager Roy Hodgson and his assistance Ray Lewington.
A meeting with the Mane Chance Horse Sanctuary based in Compton last year, when the Community Scheme and Sanctuary both picked up awards for their work, led to both parties keeping in contact to find ways they could work together. So when the email arrived asking for help in running a coaching day for 160 children it seemed a fantastic opportunity.
Eight of the Development and Community coaches joined the England Management Team putting on drills and small sided games throughout the day.
It was a day that the children and coaches will remember for a long time, the Sanctuary received some much needed funds and we were able to promote Woking FC and its Community work to a wider audience.
