Woking Football Club is pleased to welcome David & Gareth Howells as our Guests of the Day in the Geoff Chapple Lounge next Tuesday for the Vanarama Conference match against Torquay United.
David Howells started his career at Tottenham Hotspur, scoring on his debut aged 18 in a 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday. David went on to make nearly 300 appearances for Spurs.
David's younger brother Gareth began life as a youth player at Sutton United before moving into the professional game at Tottenham Hotspur. From there he went on to play for Torquay United, where he scored the deciding penalty in the playoff final against Blackpool in 1991 that saw the Gulls promoted to the old Division Three.
