The Woking youngsters put on a display of enterprising and expansive football to maintain their challenge for the SYL West Division title with a convincing victory over Molesey.

After a brisk start, on eleven minutes a corner from Billy Hussey was neatly drilled home by Pekan Samsdeen at the near post.

Woking 1 Molesey 0.

Woking completely dominated the territorial and possession statistics in the first half, stringing together numerous good quality phases of play, however some sound defending by Molesey meant that the sides came in at half time with no further score.

Half time Woking 1 Molesey 0.

Fifteen minutes into the second period and the lively Jonny Targett crossed a ball from the right that was only half cleared, the ball fell to Matthew Powell just outside the 18 yard box who fired an unstoppable left foot volley into the far right hand corner of the Molesey goal.

Woking 2 Molesey 0.

Molesey were a formidable side, they worked hard pushing forward whenever they could, but their forays were being thwarted by a resolute Woking defence of Ben Zatwardnicki, Adam Gatcum, Kevin Maclaren, Daniel Sintim and Ashley Quashie-Pownall. It was particularly pleasing to see Daniel Sintim having an outstanding game, generally in the thick of things at all times this was Daniels first game for a long while and I did not see him put a foot wrong; Jonny Targett and Chris Dean were working the flanks well; Billy Hussey and Matthew Powell were commanding in midfield; whilst the pace of Pekan Samsdeen and Delano Sam-Yorke was forcing Molesey to overload numbers in defence.

On twenty-two minutes following a long period out with injury Yanic Owusu came on for Delano Sam-Yorke.

One minute later a long ball found ?roadrunner? Pekan Samsdeen outstripping the defence and calmly rounding the Molesey keeper to slot the ball home.

Woking 3 Molesey 0.

Billy Hussey and Kevin Maclaren had both had big games but with thirty-five minutes gone they were brought off to be replaced by Luke Baker and Ben Carter, Ben is another lad who has been out with injury for some time.

On forty minutes Ashley Quashie-Pownall passed the ball down the left flank to Pekan Samsdeen, Pekan again beat his marker for pace and powered in on goal, as a defender approached he knocked the ball back into the path of Yanic Owusu who volleyed the ball into the bottom right of the Molesey goal.

Woking 4 Molesey 0.

Woking continued to play good possession football and ran out comfortable winners.

Full time: Woking 4 Molesey 0.

Some outstanding performances from a number of player in particular Ashley Quashie-Pownall, Matthew Powell, Kevin Maclaren and Billy Hussey all deserve a mention, but two players have legitimate claims for the Man of the Match award: Pekan Samsdeen for his two goals and one assist and Daniel Sintim for an outstanding display at the heart of the defence, just edging the judging the award goes to:
