Surrey Senior Cup Quarter Final

Woking bowed out of the Surrey Senior Cup competition last night after losing out in a penalty shoot-out at Merstham.

Despite both sides creating chances, the 90 minutes of normal time ended in stalemate with neither team able to find the back of the net. The 30 minutes of extra time also failed to produce a goal and it was down to a penalty shoot-out to decide the outcome.

The Cards had two penalties saved and it was the home side from the Combined Counties League that went through to the semi-final of the competition, winning 5-4 on penalties.

The evening also saw a welcome return to action for Ian Selley.

Woking: Bittner, Green, MacDonald, Gier, Bunce, Lambu, Cockerill, Selley (Murray), Oyedele, Marum, Sankoh (Sole).

Subs not used: Berquez, Pearce, Osano
