FERGUSON LEAVES BY MUTUAL CONSENT

12:00am, Mon 19th Feb 2007
Woking Football Club and Steve Ferguson have agreed today that the player will leave the club by mutual consent.

Steve has released the following apology to our fans:

"I would like to express my sincere apologies to everyone who is involved at Woking Football Club and to everyone who supports the club. The recent Newspaper article on funding was taken out of context and I was misquoted. I would never dream of running down this football club after three and a half years I?ve had here. It saddens me that I may have upset people who have been so good to me throughout my time here and I?d hate to think that I have ruined the relationship we all had. It has all been blown well out of proportion and I hope I can mend this situation.

"I would like to thank everyone at the club and the fans who have always given me great support whilst I have been at the club. I will always remember my time and cherish the memories.

"I?d like to thank the manager for giving me a chance at the club and also for sorting out my future now that I have left.

"Thank you once again. Best Wishes
Steve Ferguson"
