Woking Football Club are privileged to be hosting this prestige International Friendly match on Tuesday 19th November.

England C manager Paul Fairclough has named an 18-man squad for the match against Czech Republic Under-21s.

With England C’s first fixture in the International Challenge Trophy against Slovakia taking place in May, this game will offer great preparation for Fairclough and his squad.

And Fairclough has selected a squad featuring a mixture of experience and newcomers for the game, all picked from non-League clubs and aged under 23.

Potential debutants for the Three Lions include Cambridge United’s Luke Berry, FC Halifax Town’s Dan Gardner, Kidderminster’s Joe Lolley and Salisbury City trio Angus McDonald, Dan Fitchett and Elliott Frear.

And former England C player of the year Jamie Turley makes a welcome return to the squad having missed the last two internationals.

Speaking to TheFA.com, Fairclough said: “The fixture against Czech Republic is yet another opportunity for our young internationals to experience European football at a high level.

“Their national football team is currently ranked 25 in the FIFA Rankings and this fixture will feature the cream of the Czech Republic Under-21s so will expose our players to yet another style of play which can only enhance their experience.

“The squad selected is a hybrid of the players who featured in the last two internationals against Bermuda and Latvia, coupled with some fresh faces who have forced their way into consideration due to their good club form.

Entry to the game is free for spectators and Fairclough is hoping to see a big crowd in attendance.

“This will be the second occasion I have been fortunate to lead the side at Woking, he added.

“I have fond memories of the last occasion, when a bumper crowd turned out to experience an emphatic victory against the Netherlands.

“The game with the Czechs promises to be a game for the purists with both teams being determined to get the ball down and play.
