Over 30 teams congregated on Kingfield on April 21st to participate in the now annual Woking FC Football for All Tournament.
A big well done to the Woking Under 13’’s for winning their age group and the Under 16’s Yellows and Adult Yellows for coming runners up in theirs.
Woking entered 5 teams into the competition. Below are a list of Woking’s participants and all the respective results and reports.

Under 13’s
Liam Patterson, Izzie Wallace, Ben Roberts, Dylan Burgess, Dylan Varndell, Matt Muckett, Ben Gosden and Henry Robson
Under 16’s Reds
Ben Davies, Adam Levitt, Matt Kimberling, Ben Bessemar, Caithan Kimberling, Jonno Lehrter and Lewis Ashby
Under 16’s Yellows
Harry Robson, Marcus Levitt, James Hawkins, JJ Elgar, Shelly Foster, Alex Elgar.
Adults
Charlie Sheridan, Paul Grout, Tom Shepherd, Michael Sears, Charlie Jeeves, Seb Aprile, John Gasson and Marc Grout

Under 13’s
Fulham
3-0 Ben G x 2 Ben R x 1

Woking set a high standard at the start with passing, connecting, switching and scoring team goals.
Southampton Whites
0-3

We knew this opposition were tough and so it proved...though we were to meet again.

Four Clubs
1-1 Dylan V

Another tough game, where both sides had opportunities and we were evenly matched but once again we created a team goal passing and moving it up the pitch for Dylan V to slide in our only goal of the match.
Chelsea Whites
3-0 Matt, Ben R, Dylan

This was the match that put us into the semi final and the match where it all worked.... the team work was impressive and complimented by the opposition's manager. The linking up and moving to space was the best I have seen them play, at least up to that moment. This was the match that created a belief in themselves. Ben Roberts had 2 beautiful assists.
Semi Final

Southampton Reds
1-0 Marcus Levett

The tension was high as we knew Southampton had good sides. Dylan B made some fantastic saves in goal before Marcus found his way up the pitch to slot home.

Final

Southampton Whites
2-1 Liam, Ben G
We came on the pitch a different team to when we first played them. Woking looked fresh despite the long day and acquitted themselves well. At 1-1 the game could have gone either way but Ben G popped up with seconds remaining to secure a fantastic Woking win.

Under 16 Yellows
Fulham
4-0 Alex Elgar x 3, James Hawkins
Woking were quick off the mark with a well worked move resulting in Alex shooting into the Top Left Hand Corner and James Scoring from 20 yards Out. Alex scored 2 more fine goals.
Four Clubs
1-0 JJ Elgar

This was a close thought game between two evenly matched teams. Harry made some fine saves before JJ made a late run into the box and slotted home the only goal.
Feltham
2-0 Alex Elgar x 2
The scoreline does not reflect how well Woking played in this game and how many chances they created. They didn’t give up though which resulted in two goals.
Redhill
2-0 Alex Elgar x 2
This was another tough game in which Woking handled the early pressure before finishing the game off with two fantastic goals.
Semi Final

Sutton
4-0 Alex Elgar x 2, james Hawkins, Shelly Foster
Woking dominated this game with some excellent approach play, leading to some well worked goals which insured they booked a place in the final.
Final
Chelsea
2-1 AET Shelly Foster
A game too far for Woking. An even game in which Chelsea took the lead. Woking though back with several good chances before scoring an equaliser. The game went to Extra Time. Chelsea countered and scored which left Woking with little time to score again.

Under 16 Reds
Wandgas
3-0 Adam, Matt, Lewis
Woking started brightly with Lewis firing into the top corner. Matt beat 3 players to score the 2nd and a team goal where all players were involved resulted in Adam scoring the 3rd.
Guildford Saints
0-0
This game was extremely tight. Woking created chances without scoring but were also strong in defence.
Sutton
1-1 Lewis
Lewis started us off with another great goal. Though after an injury to Cathan the players seemed to lose concentration, resulting in Sutton scoring an equaliser.
Chelsea Blues
1-4 Adam
We started brightly with another quick goal. This however seemed to wake Chelsea up and they took full control of the game.

Adult Reds
Surrey Blues
3-0 Paul G x 2, Michael
Feltham
2-1 Paul G x 2
Southampton Reds
2-0 Paul, Shelly
Southampton White
1-0 Michael

Semi Final

Woking Yellows
0-1

Adult Yellows
Southampton
2-0 Charlie S, Alex
St Albans
1-0 Shelly

QEF
0-2
Surrey Blues B
3-0 James x 2, Charlie S
Semi Final
Woking Reds
1-0 Charlie S
Final
Southampton
1-3 Paul G
The Adults played really well in all their games. The addition of several new players this season has enabled them to pick up some fantastic results. Seb has returned after a long layoff to fill the Goalkeeping role. Apart from the odd performance the teams played some wonderful free flowing Football which resulted in many goal scoring opportunities. Unfortunately the two sides were drawn together in the Semi-Final. Knowing each other so well, the game was very tight with Charlie S scoring the only goal. In the final, fatigue had set in and we soon found ourselves 0-3 against Southampton. Although we managed to pull one back it was a little too late to pull off a great comeback. Again a big well done to all players.
