Woking FC regret to announce the sad passing of former Woking player Len Morris.

Len Morris
1947-1949 and 1950-1954.

Len Morris joined the Cardinals in the 1946-1947 Season after serving in the RAF during the War. Len served his country with honour and received a Distinguished Flying Cross during his time in the RAF. Initially Len played his debut as a Left Back in a 0-3 defeat at Plough Lane Wimbledon on 26 April 1947. Len also played as a Centre Half and even made an appearance as a make-shift Centre Forward on one occasion. In his nine seasons at Kingfield Len made 238 Isthmian League, Cup and Friendly appearances in the Cardinal and White halves and scored 3 goals. He played his last game for Woking at Kingfield on 18 September 1954 against Leytonstone in the Isthmian League. During his time here Len also had the honour of representing Surrey against Hampshire in the 1954-55 Season.


The funeral will be held at Woking Crematorium this Friday at 4pm.
