New partnership with Barnes Group

Woking Football Club driving forward in a new partnership with local motor dealership Barnes Group

Woking Football Club are pleased to announce a new year-long partnership with the local family motor dealership Barnes Group. The partnership will include perimeter advertising boards, programme advertising, website hyperlink as well as promotional opportunities for the group at the Kingfield Stadium including car displays and PR Leaflet distribution at certain matches.

Barnes Group was started as a local business in 1899 and is still run today by the grandson of FG Barnes. With dealerships in Guildford and Maidstone, the group represent 6 different manufacturers under the Barnes and Bishops branding, including Vauxhall, Nissan, Chevrolet, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and DAF.

Bishops Nissan (which is part of the Barnes Group) already had a sponsorship agreement in place, and have been keen to both extend and increase the level of involvement that they have with the club.

The four Home International teams have a sponsorship arrangement with the Vauxhall brand, so the Barnes Group partnership with Woking Football Club is a natural continuation of their involvement with football at various levels.

Alison was the first to admit that her own knowledge of football is somewhat limited, but expresses that she is keen to meet supporters herself and explore more ways that the Barnes Group can aid the club.

“We really want to work with the management, players and supporters of Woking Football Club, and explore every opportunity to raise awareness of the great achievements that they continue to make. I just hope I don’t have to get muddy!�
