Woking fans praised again

The football Club have today (29th August) received the following letter from the Safety Officer at Oxford United Football Club.

During play between our clubs a 'suspect package' was discovered in the North Stand which was occupied by your supporters. The 'code black' procedure was put into operation and police were informed.

A decision was made to move the Woking Supporters from their present location to a safe area within the next stand complex. As a result our stewards explained the circumstances and requested them to leave their seats. The move was accomplished within a short time and they continued to watch the game.

Arrangements were made for both sets of supporters to share the refreshment area at half time. Again there were no problems.

At the debrief the conduct of your supporters was discussed and there was nothing but praise for their behaviour throughout the operation. It was a pleasure to have your supporters at the club and should you visit Oxford United again you will be assured of a warm welcome.

Your fans were a credit to Woking Football Club.

Thank you Woking fans for your great support once again.
