Elm Bridge reopens to traffic

7:23pm, Fri 7th Oct 2011
Woking Borough Council is pleased to announce that Elm Bridge (also known as Kingfield Road Bridge) has now reopened to traffic.

The reopening marks the completion of a significant stage of the Hoe Valley Scheme, which will take nearly 200 local homes out of the flood plain and significantly improve traffic flow in the area.

The new bridge, which links Elm Bridge Lane with Kingfield Road, was closed as part of the Hoe Valley Scheme to allow the old Victorian structure to be demolished and a new bridge to be constructed.
