Surrey u18's Youth Floodlit Mid-week Cup
Wednesday 23rd March 2011
Woking u18s were involved in cup final action last night in the Surrey u18 Floodlit Cup against holders Carshalton Athletic. Woking battled hard in the first 90 minutes, Carshalton having more of the possession but the better chances fell to the Cards who were unlucky not to score.
With the scores level the game went to extra-time, and it was Carshalton who managed to break the deadlock in the 100th minute, first team striker Sonny Ayres scoring a header. With time ticking away Woking sent everyone forward for a last minute corner, unfortunately it didn't pay off and Ayres added a 2nd breakaway goal for the young Robins.
