Woking v Lewes
3pm on Saturday 3 April 2010

The Cards take on Lewes in an intriguing encounter at Kingfield tomorrow. Woking have to win to stand even a remote chance of making the play-offs, while the visitors are fighting to avoid relegation.

WOKING

Woking will be looking to continue their recent fine form at home, which has seen them gain successive victories over Basingstoke (4-2) and Hampton and Richmond Borough (3-1). Cards fans will be hoping that Harry Arter will have recovered from the hamstring strain which ruled him out of the Cards’ unlucky defeat at Newport County AFC last Saturday.

LEWES

The Rooks have had a very difficult season, only narrowly surviving being wound up for financial reasons. On the pitch, they’ve struggled too but last Saturday’s excellent 3-1 win over in-form Welling United will have boosted their confidence. They now lie eight points behind Worcester City in 20th place with three games in hand. Their ‘danger man’ is Joe Keehan.

Lewes’s recent results have been:

20 Feb BSS Lewes 0 Chelmsford City 2
27 Feb BSS Lewes 3 Worcester City 3
3 Mar BSS Lewes 1 Eastleigh 2
6 Mar BSS Basingstoke Town 1 Lewes 1
13 Mar BSS Lewes 0 Havant & W 3
20 Mar BSS Bishop’s Stortford 0 Lewes 0

Manager Steve Ibbitson has strengthened his squad with two loan signings from Hayes and Yeading: defender Sami El-Abd and striker Robert Gradwell.
