Dennis North has kindly filed this brief report of Saturday’s reserve game
Horley Town 2 Woking 2
Suburban Football League Southern Division
22 August 2009
Woking reserves failed to capitalise on the lion’s share of possession by a generally poor final ball. Horley took the lead early in the match but a penalty converted by Gavin Miller (pictured) was followed up in the second half by a fantastic strike from Ramon Whorms to put Woking in front in the 84th minute.
The very young reserves side looked to have sealed all three points but some slack marking in the 93rd minute gave Horley the chance to grab a late equaliser.
Next game for the reserves is this Tuesday, 25th August, at home to Horsham YMCA - 7.30pm ko.
