Kim Grant says that he is delighted to have been appointed as Head Coach of the Club and regards it as an 'honour and a privilege' to be taking up the reins at Kingfield.

?I am delighted to have been appointed Head Coach at Woking FC. I know that the Club has a proud history and I regard it as an honour and a privilege to be appointed to manage it at such an exciting time, on and off the field. I am looking forward very much to working with Colin Lippiatt, Director of Football, and everyone else at the Club in order to realise the ambition of achieving Football League status within three years. Phil Gilchrist and I will do our utmost to achieve that aim. I am looking forward too to meeting Cards fans at the forum at Kingfield on Tuesday evening and to answering their questions.?

Kim Grant was born in Ghana in September 1972 and started his football career in Charlton?s youth set-up in 1988, making his first-team debut at 17 and going on to make over 150 appearances for the Addicks. He transferred to Luton Town in 1997 for ?250,000 before moving to Millwall in another big money deal. After a spell on loan at Notts County Kim switched to Belgian club, FC Lommelse SK. Subsequent moves saw him spend time in Portugal and briefly at Scunthorpe before joining Yeovil in the Conference in 2001. He was a member of the Glovers? FA Trophy-winning side in 2002 and their championship-winning team a year later, making over 50 appearances for the club. Kim?s subsequent travels saw him play in Malaysia, Japan and Singapore, where he also held a coaching role; study coaching in China and South Korea; and take a Ghana side to a World Under-20 tournament. In addition, back home, he had spells playing at Gravesend and Northfleet, Crawley and AFC Wimbledon. Kim won 14 caps for Ghana, scoring four goals, and was appointed as the Cards? Head Coach on a three-year contract in May 2008.
