Volunteers are the backbone of grassroots football in the non-league game, and Cards fans have a proud history of supporting their club in numerous ways. For the 2025/26 season, Woking Football Club has reignited this initiative to once again harness the volunteer spirit that supporters of our club have long shown, helping to preserve and enhance a ground rich in heritage, with stands now over 100 years old.

Being a volunteer is not only beneficial to the club, but it also offers many personal rewards. These may include developing new skills or enhancing existing ones, meeting new people, building self-confidence, and enjoying a behind-the-scenes experience at the historic Laithwaite Community Stadium.

If you, or someone you know, can spare an hour or two and would like to lend a hand, we would love to hear from you. No specialist skills are required, just a willingness to help with a variety of practical tasks, including pitch-forking, divot replacement, painting, general maintenance, covering and uncovering the pitch, weeding, and other duties around the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

If you’d like to find out more or simply have an informal chat about volunteering, please feel free to get in touch with Del Bicknell, our Volunteer Co-ordinator, by phone or email. There’s no obligation at all, just let us know a little about yourself, when you might be available, and the sort of things you’d enjoy helping with.
