Morecambe vs Woking
Enterprise National League
Saturday 30th August 2025
15:00 Kick-Off
Woking will hope to build on Monday’s promising performance against a strong York side with a trip to Morecambe. The story of the off season for all the wrong reasons, the Shrimps can put all that behind them as they host the Cards at the Mazuma Stadium.
With Olly Sanderson back in training after being withdrawn from the Hartlepool game with injury, Neal Ardley will hope that he along with Matt Ward and Inih Effiong can make the journey and bolster a squad that had just the six subs on Monday.
Opposition Watch
Enough has been said about Morecambe’s misfortunes off the pitch, but with Jason Whittingham now gone, Panjab Warriors have made some real moves in the last couple of weeks.
With just the twenty incomings, all of which were free agents including former Card Raheem Conte, history making manager Ashvir Singh Johal will hope that Saturday’s win over Altrincham is a sign of things to come. A 4-0 defeat at Aldershot was perhaps expected given they had no time to gel a squad and put so much into their first home game back, so Woking cannot take this Morecambe side lightly, for there are some talented players now in Lancashire.
