Woking Football Club is pleased to announce that midfielder Harry Beautyman has been appointed club captain for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Defender Chinwike Okoli has been named vice-captain, reinforcing the club’s leadership both on and off the pitch.

Beautyman, 33, joined the club last summer, bringing a wealth of experience and professionalism from his time at Sutton United, where he was a key figure and former captain. He made 44 appearances for the Cards last season and ended the campaign as the team’s top goalscorer with 14 goals.

Director of Football, Jody Brown, explained, “Harry epitomises what we believe is a leader for our club right now”. He has great quality, and can produce big moments, he takes responsibility every day, and never hides away in matches”.

“A role model and mentor for our younger players, and a friend that leads by example for our more senior players – his experience is invaluable. His relationship with people around the club, and with our fanbase, is excellent. The manager trusts Harry to lead our team”.

The new skipper shared his delight at being given the armband, explaining, “It’s an honour to be made captain of the club.”

“I take pride in leading the boys out in front of the fans at the Laithwaite Community Stadium and I’m excited to see what this season holds for the club”.

Alongside Beautyman, Chinwike Okoli steps into the role of vice-captain. A consistent and commanding presence at the heart of Woking’s defence, Okoli has grown in stature since joining the club, becoming a reliable and respected figure both on the pitch and within the squad.

Brown added, “Chin’s an upbeat personality, a young hungry competitor, and a player that gives everything all of the time”.

“He’s young, but already shows leadership qualities, as I mentioned when we signed him”.

“I think it’s a great measure of how he’s settled in at the club and what we all think of him”.
