Pre-Season Friendly
Woking v Tottenham U21s
Saturday 26th July 2025
15:00 Kick off

Woking host a Tottenham Hotspur Under 21s side with the season just two weeks away.

Neal Ardley’s side have played three games so far, winning both against lower opposition in the form of Met Police and Cray Valley PM, but losing to a strong Portsmouth side.

With three Premier League 2 sides lined up to help the Cards prepare for Carlisle on the opening day, whilst Ardley hinted at needing three or four more players, there is a chance for some trialists to impress as well as academy players who might feature, such as left back Sonny Parkes, who has contributed a goal and assist thus far.

Opposition Watch

After last season brought injury problems to the Spurs first team, several academy products got first team minutes such as Will Lankshear, who was also loaned out to Championship side West Brom, whilst 17 year old Mikey Moore emerged as a player with serious promise. Just 19 points from 20 games saw Spurs finish 22nd in Premier League 2, although that may be down to these absences and opportunities to get first team football.

Having played three friendlies so far against Boreham Wood, Bromley and Leyton Orient, Spurs U21s have lost to both EFL sides sandwiched in between a 2-2 draw at Meadow Park, so the Cards will be hopeful for a positive result.

It may well be that Spurs field a similar team to the one against the Wood, where midfielder Callum Olusesi scored the equaliser. The 18-year-old made his senior debut at Hoffenheim in the Europa League and will be looking to kick on this season.
