Woking Football Club can confirm that Sam Ashford has joined National League South side AFC Totton on an initial loan deal until the 4th January 2026.
The forward looks to ramp up his return to action following the broken collar bone sustained earlier this season at Halifax. Sam played 65 minutes against Brighton U21s midweek and goes into a squad fighting for a play-off place in the National League South.
Director of Football, Jody Brown, explained, “Sams worked hard following an awkward injury, and it’s been really positive to see him back out on the field in the two recent cup games.”
“Having come in at such an important time last year as we battled for survival, then getting his first start this season in a good performance against York City, he then scored the next game in our win at Morecambe. His injury came at a time when he was beginning to have a real influence on games.”
“We hope this will be a good loan for Sam, where we see him play regularly and enjoy his work in what sounds like a good football environment at Totton.”
As part of the loan agreement, Sam will not be able to play against us in our FA Trophy third round tie at the Laithwaite Community Stadium on Saturday 13th December.
