The Woking FC Christmas Project is live HERE!
As ever the Woking FC family will be pulling out all the stops to help those facing challenges this Christmas. Year by year we are able to visit children’s wards, distribute hampers and provide much needed provisions for Woking Foodbank. Please do get involved as you are able
The challenge
We already have lists of requests from St Peter’s Chertsey and the Royal Surrey Guildford to provide toys and equipment for their children’s wards. On December 8th the players, accompanied by KC Kat and Kitten, will be delivering these to the children and their families. It is always a very happy time mixed with a few shed tears.
We also want to deliver Happy Christmas hampers to friends facing challenges and help boost the Woking Foodbank stocks at their time of highest demand
Our initial target is to raise £3500 which is a big target but has been exceeded in the past few years. The players join with everyone else in contributing to the appeal. If there is any surplus it is designated for further community projects throughout the year
How you can help
- Simply go to the funding page and make your donation. As we are working with Cardinals in the Community (CITC), the Woking FC partner charity all donations from UK taxpayers will be boosted by 20% through gift aid. We will close the fundraiser page on 5th December
- Our home game against Brackley on 29th November is our designated Christmas Project game and there will be bucket collectors at the game and various other ways to contribute
- There will be boxes at the club in reception where you can leave food and toy donations. For hygiene reasons any donated toys do need to be new.
- Follow Woking FC media for regular news on progress
Thank you one and all. It’s a special time of the Woking FC year and always amazing to see lots of people doing their bit can makes a big difference.
