Enterprise National League
Saturday 20th September 2025
15:00 Kick-Off
Woking host an unbeaten Forest Green Rovers at the Laithwaite hoping to get back to winning ways following heartbreak last time out at Yeovil Town.
There were positives, however, from Tuesday night’s National League Cup victory over Southampton U21s, including a first goal for Josh Kelly and a return between the sticks for Will Jaaskelainen. With Tom Norcott having extended his loan until mid November, the goalkeeping department is looking strong.
The main dilemma for Ardley will be whether to bring in Jake Forster-Caskey or Tim Akinola for this fixture, seeing as Woking will probably have less of the ball than FGR, and he’s also waiting on the fitness of Josh Osude, who went off at Yeovil with an injury.
Opposition Watch
Robbie Savage surprised many when he left Macclesfield (a club he co owned) to progress his management career and set up shop in Nailsworth. It’s fair to say that it’s been a resounding success so far.
One of only three unbeaten clubs, and the only one of those to have played nine games, Rovers currently sit second having scored 16 times and conceded just five, including away wins at Halifax and Morecambe. The goals have been shared around, with three players on three each, and only Solihull on opening day have managed to score more than once against FGR.
Savage was in the headlines this week for making four substitutions in the opening minute against Wolves Academy in the National League Cup, but still managed to get a 3-2 win, showing all is going well at the New Lawn right now.

One to Watch
A player who had EFL interest in the summer, winger Kyle McAllister has three goals to his name already this season, and scored last year in this fixture at the Laithwaite.
