Reading FC has recalled goalkeeper Tom Norcott from his loan spell, as the Royals seek additional cover in their goalkeeping department.

Tom made his debut for the Cards in the National League Cup against West Ham U21s, delivering an impressive performance that earned him five further National League appearances. His initial loan was subsequently extended until November. Following Will Jääskeläinen’s return, Tom featured once more in the National League before being recalled.

Director of Football Jody Brown commented:

“Tom has come in and done brilliantly when called upon. Reading are recalling him to add cover to their squad, and while he’s not playing for us, we have little argument to keep him despite how well he has done.
We thank Reading for their working wit us and being as helpful as they have been.
We wish Tom all the best and hope to see his career go from strength to strength.”

We’d like to thank Tom for his professionalism and contribution during his time with us and wish him every success for the future.
