Woking vs Brackley Town
Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round
Saturday 11th October 2025
15:00 Kick-Off
Woking enter the FA Cup with the visit of Brackley Town, as the sides meet for the very first time. With the Cards having successfully navigated this round seven times in nine attempts, they’ll be hoping to progress and find themselves in the hat for the First Round draw.
Of course, last season’s 2-1 win over Slough required a late Harry Beautyman winner and a lot of defensive brilliance to get over the line, as is often the case in the FA Cup.
With the addition of Ashley Boatswain confirmed yesterday, Neal Ardley will have plenty of options for this game, as Woking hope to better last season’s first round exit against Cambridge United.
Opposition Watch
Brackley Town themselves made the Second Round of this competition last season, defeated 3-1 at League One Stockport County after wins over Truro, Ramsgate, Hartlepool and Braintree.
The Saints have a good record in this competition, particularly against Gillingham, who they dumped out of the competition in 2013 and 2016, but are yet to make the Third Round after four Second Round exits.
Amongst their ranks is two time former Card Connor Hall, who starred in Chorley’s run to the Fourth Round with wins over Peterborough and Derby back in 2020/21. After top scoring with 18 for Brackley last season, he’s netted three times this season in a goal shy side who have scored the least goals with ten in thirteen games.
Defensively, however, Brackley are one of the best sides in the division, and it will be a challenge for Woking to break them down, with a potential replay massively favouring the Saints.

One to Watch
Former Northampton man Morgan Roberts has found some form at Brackley after a stop start spell at Swindon Town, having starred last season as the Saints won the National League North before starting every game so far this season. A tricky winger, he’ll be one to watch.
