Boreham Wood vs Woking

Enterprise National League

Saturday 27th September 2025

12:30 Kick-Off

Woking’s first of consecutive away games sees them travel to Meadow Park to face Boreham Wood.

After Tuesday night’s draw against Sutton United, Woking are now winless in three league games and will face one of their hardest tests all season at a ground where historically they have struggled.

Neal Ardley confirmed that, barring long-term absentees Dale Gorman and Sam Ashford, he has a clean bill of health in the squad and therefore has plenty of options for the trip to Hertfordshire.

Opposition Watch

Promoted after winning the National League South playoffs, Boreham Wood have had a dream start back in non league’s top tier. Playing a more attractive style of football with a fresher squad, Luke Garrard’s free scoring side have won six of their first ten games, losing just once at home to Rochdale as they’ve soared to fourth in the early table.

Bigger challenges, such as visits to York and Forest Green are to come next month, but additions of former York loanee Lewis Richardson and most notably the return of Zak Brunt from Barnet have strengthened a side that injected some youth into its ranks whilst in the NLS and during last summer.

Currently unbeaten since their opening day defeat, the challenge now for Garrard will be if his side can cement themselves in and amongst the playoff picture given the faith in youth he has shown.

One to Watch

As previously mentioned, attacking midfielder Zak Brunt has three goals in six games since returning on loan to the Wood, and will be a threat just as he was back in August 2023, when his two goals secured victory for Barnet.
