Enterprise National League
Saturday 23rd August 2025
15:00 Kick-Off
Woking kick off a busy Bank Holiday period with a trip to Hartlepool United. After four defeats on the bounce, Neal Ardley will hope that his side can spring a surprise against a Pools side yet to concede a goal having collected seven points from their first three league games.
There will be changes from the starting line up against Wealdstone whether it is reactionary to that result or with the visit of York on Monday in mind, so the full eighteen players in the squad should be ready, plus the likes of Inih Effiong and Luke Hall who weren’t in the squad on Tuesday as we await news on them.
Opposition Watch
Simon Grayson’s appointment at Hartlepool was met with a number of signings that sent shockwaves across the division, mainly Alex Reid whose loan spell at Wealdstone saw him become one of the league’s most prolific scorers. This was a fine response to the departures of Joe Grey and Mani Dieseruvwe, who went to York and Rochdale respectively.
Questions still linger over owner Raj Singh, who reportedly wrote to all clubs and asked them not to allow famous broadcaster and Pools die hard Jeff Stelling in their hospitality areas, but pressure from Pools fans may have forced his hand into building a good squad on a reasonable budget. An impressive 2-0 win at Altrincham was a good tonic to their start to the season, however, it is worth noting that Pools started last season with two wins and two draws before the Cards defeated them 3-2 at the Laithwaite in a thriller.

One to Watch
As previously mentioned, Alex Reid was sought after by many this summer, but the striker has two in two games for Pools as they seek to mount a playoff push.
